Artist's Digital Sketchbook.
I am going to focus this section on my personal work. I want to explore both night photography and advanced digital painting techniques. I have also played with digital print making techiques which I explored in my BFA thesis. I have uploaded some of my photos to the main gallery, however this section will be reserved for more experimental techniques and montage work in Photoshop and Corel Painter X.
Looking for some great digital paiting forums? Corel Painter Magazine is a great resoure for ideas, tutorials, and the latest and greatest in digital painting techniques. I highly recommend it. Also CG Talk is an amazing resource for all things digital art related. The gallery section is phenominal!

Forest Digital Painting Study 1
I took this photo in Hocking Hills, Ohio last May. This whole park has a very surreal feeling to it. I highly suggest it, if you have not been. This work is done in Corel Painter X with the Acrylic wet blend brush. My technique was simply to study how the photgraph would translate to digital paint. I worked on this for about two hours. I would like to eventually add a figure to the center, on the steps. I feel this photo lends itself to something epherial. Almost spiritual.
Flower Digital Painting Study 1
I took this photo after Jonathan brought me home these lovely flowers for our anniversary two years ago. I loved the color and thought ot would translate well to paint. I think it came rather well. I want to push complemtary colors more.
